BetEasy has been taken over by Sportsbet
In September 2020, BetEasy ceased trading and all activities were assigned across to Sportsbet. BetEasy has changed the face of online betting in Australia with a series of innovative products and programs. All existing BetEasy customers will find they now have an account with Sportsbet.
BetEasy were known for the former CrownBet brand, and by providing a live streaming service that was equal to that provided by Bet365, along with some of the best horse racing products offered in the country.

BetEasy had a brief yet busy existence as a bookmaking brand in Australia some years ago. The brand then became CrownBet. CrownBet became BetEasy. Now BetEasy is Sportsbet! The William Hill and Centrebet businesses also now fall under the larger Sportsbet brand. Entrepreneur Matthew Tripp was the original founder of BetEasy.
Expect to see all of the features that made BetEasy one of the leading betting sites in the Australian market with Sportsbet. This includes: some rewarding account specific promotions, live streaming of Australian horse races, a wide of array of sports and racing betting markets.
BetEasy provided a live streaming service to its customers that allowed them to access live vision of Victorian horse races, NBL basketball and selected European soccer matches. The service was free, even non-financial members were able to watch live vision.
The most sophisticated mobile app in the business
The BetEasy mobile betting application allowed users to bet anywhere at anytime using one of the most advanced and efficient apps in the Australian industry. Fortunately for BetEasy members, the Sportsbet app also provides a fine betting experience. Users can easily navigate the my account section of the app and quickly skip to the next betting event, or find a sport or racing event that takes their interest without any inconvenience.
BetEasy Protest Payout
Horse racing fans won’t be ripped off by the Sportsbet takeover of BetEasy. The online operator will ensure that any bet that loses as a result of an upheld protest will be paid out as if it were a normal win. The value of this product is not to be underestimated. There is nothing worse than having a horse be first past the post only to lose the race in the stewards room. Sooner or later this promotion will pay off for members, it only takes a $50 bet at odds of $6 to return a $300 payout.
Sportsbet offers the former Best Tote Plus
Horse racing enthusiasts can still enjoy the benefits of the Best Tote Plus product when they switch across to Sportsbet. Best Tote Plus is replaced by Tope Tote Plus and it pays out the highest dividend of the 3 national totes or the official on-course starting price. Having four dividends in your favour is better than one! Whilst it’s not as good an offering as Best of the Best, in our opinion, it still delivers good value to members.
